Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Medical/Patient Care Assistant (will be cross trained to handle PCA and MA responsibilities) at MiDoctor Health clinics (Must have graduated from an accredited MA Program with PCA experience).As a Medical/Patient Care Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical clinic. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Complete all activities with precision, high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Obtain patient vital signs and report results to staff nurse or physician to identify changes from prior measurements.
- Obtain blood specimens for testing by performing venipuncture and/or finger stick testing, i.e., blood glucose monitoring.
- Prepare collected specimens for pick-up by labeling and preparing required forms.
- Participate in collecting routine personal medical data/information for patient health history.
- Use EMR to record all patient data.
- Duties as assigned by the Manager (or) Lead.
